Monsters Of Folk have begun work on a second album, the band’s members have announced.
The supergroup – which is made up of Bright Eyes’ Conor Oberst, My Morning Jacket’s Jim James, M Ward and Mike Mogis – declared their plans on Twitter.
Oberst tweeted Twitter.com/OberstConor that the group were “writing new material” and that he “can’t wait for you to not have to [wait] anymore”.
The band, who released their self-titled debut album last year, played just two UK shows in support of the record, with Oberst knocking over his piano at the band’s London date last November.
Meanwhile, James main band My Morning Jacket have also begun work on their sixth album, plus recently starred in an episode of ‘American Dad’.
